Re-emerging

Greetings! How is everyone faring? It has been AGES since I have done a post here. Quite honestly, I usually post here when supporting another project and when I have something new published. Is that what authors do generally or do they utilize it more frequently? I will not sit here and declare that I'll be posting more frequently, for I don't want to make a declaration that I cannot uphold. However, I will brainstorm on what other things I would want to write about.

So ... what have I been doing since permitting Y. Correa to use my area for her Reversal Blog tour? In short, living life.

This isn't to say that I was having writer's block. I was writing down profound thoughts here and there, but nothing that was leading me to do any publishing. Around the same time this occurred, the essence beyond the pseudonym was working on herself.

Many focused on the physical transformation but other elements were becoming impacted as well; so much so, that she decided to go to a therapist. She decided to document all she was going through in the way she knew best ... in creative form.

I was awakened.

As I was putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard), I discovered that none of the writings appeared like something I would write. As a matter of fact, they really didn't belong to me. They belonged to HER, so I believed it best for her to do something she had never done: to publish something as HER.

After wrestling with the idea momentarily, she made the decision to publish her thoughts. The end result was the creation of The Weight of Weight which was released in February 2022.

After her project ended, I contemplated, "What is next for me?" I had not done poetry since R.I.P.(E). back in 2018. The projects that followed were short stories. Yet I missed the feel and the flow when in a poetic space.

All I could do was wait.

When my poetic muse finally tapped me on the shoulder, I knew something had changed. Was it her? Was it me? Perhaps it was us both, craving to do something more.

Believing in something beyond.

Something More Than.

From this re-emergence, as well as re-awakening, two books were born. The 1st one More Than Flesh tackles the Self while More Than Eyes tackles the World.

Are they anything like some of the other works I've put out?

That is a good question.

It lacks the lighter whimsical cadence of Reflections of Soul. It's not a voluminous in length as Private Pain or Eclectic.

However, with the current climate we are in, it is more controversial than the Spaded Truths collection. It was important for me to include disclaimers in both books, especially More Than Eyes. If anything, the More Than experience is a continuance of a trajectory, where R.I.P.(E). established the foundation.

Like Beyonce's new album, it's not for everyone.

For those of you who remain open to all stages of my writing evolution and are open to the humanity and vulnerability behind the pseudonym, I encourage you to pick up these books. The books are standalone, so you don't have to read them in order. You can even just read one, but to get the full gambit of the journey, I advise to get both and to read them in order.

Just click on my logo, and you'll be directed to the Amazon page showcasing both books. Both are available in three forms: electronic, paperback, or hardcover. The Kindle is currently on pre-order but will officially release on 9/12/2022.

Happy early 45th to me.
